The Bel Air Bay Club is looking for Summer Camp Counselors: Information + Applications in Student Center
Community Helpline, a 41 year old non-profit confidential listening, crisis and referral hotline, in the South Bay, needs volunteers to provide support to people in need or crisis. To prepare volunteers Community Helpline offers a 45 hour “Listening and Communication” Training. Learn listening/communication skills not only for use on the hotline, but for life. The classes cover issues related to Helpline calls including depression, anxiety, addiction, teen and family violence, sexual orientation and suicide. The next session begins June 26- August 2 on Tuesday + Thursday from 6-8:30pm in Redondo Beach. For more information please call 310-793-1415 or email at chelpline@yahoo.com

iGNATIAN SOLIDARITY NETWORK - WASHINGTON, DC, TEACH IN & CAPITOL HILL ADVOCACY, November 15 - 19, 2012. Now seeking students interested in serving as delegates to this national meeting in our nation's capital. 1,200 college and high school students expected. City tour, workshops, socializing and meetings with members of Congress on social justice issues related to immigration policy, military policy and capital punishment. We've spent the last 3 days in Lexington Kentucky.
Senior Bob Overing lost in the final round on a very very close 2-1 decision.
He had an outstanding run. He will be forever remembered in the history of the Tournament of Champions & his name and Loyola HS will always appear in the brochure, the University of Kentucky website, and in Wikipedia.
This is the best showing by Loyola at the TOC in history. We have much to be proud of.

Basketball: All those interested in trying out for the Varsity or Junior Varsity summer league teams, please go to the 2011/2012 Varsity Basketball group on CubView and fill out the signup form under the links section on that page. Tryouts will begin Tuesday May 15th, the times to be announced. If you have questions, please attend a meeting in Coach Adams room P208 at lunch on Tuesday, May 1st. Please be prompt.
