Current Events Club Moderator: Michael Bodensteiner Students who become members of the Current Events club will increase their respective general awareness of crisis, changes in law, or actions of our government that will alter the course of future events in politics. Ultimately, the goals of the club are to spread awareness about the government, absent any party bias, and to create a place where students can discuss opinions about the multitude of changes that happen in government on a daily basis. The club’s activities will extend beyond just meeting every week to discuss politics into a club that will try to spread political awareness in the student body by attempting to conduct movie sessions, political debates, and/or lectures that will increase general knowledge about governance and its many facets.
