Jazz Band is available to students who want to perform in a jazz style. The group covers styles such as Jazz Fusion, Latin Jazz, Be-Bop, and Modal Jazz. There are auditions in the beginning of 2nd semester. Audition requirements include, interpreting chord symbols, improvisation, sight-reading and jazz history. This ensemble performs at our annual departmental concert in May and other Loyola functions. The jazz band is primarily a second semester activity.
