Loyola's Junior Classical League (JCL) chapter is an active participant in the National organization of middle school and high school students. We explore the culture, history, language, literature, and mythology of ancient Greece and Rome through creative, competitive, and fun activities. What do we do? We prep to attend regional, state, and national conventions where we compete in certamen (quiz bowl), chariot-racing, catapult competitions, Classics-related academic, creative, and artistic competitions, hang out with new friends (lots of girls included!), and have fun. JCL Officers: Triumvirate- Patrick O'Callahan Ben Schmid, Steven Taylor Cub View Manager- Steven Taylor JCL is open to all levels of Latin students. Loyola's JCL club meets Thursdays at lunch for light activities and after school for the main activities in H202.
